Need a Ride to Vote? NCOA & Lyft Provide Rides for Older Adults

vote, chalk with heart, your vote matters

Do you or someone you know need a ride to vote in Tuesday, November 8th’s election? If so, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and Lyft have partnered again to help older adults get to and from the polls.

You can find the details in NCOA’s article: Let’s Reduce Transportation Barriers for Older Adults Exercising Their Right to Vote.

  • This NCOA ride code covers a value of up to $50 for travel to/from polling stations: NCOAELECTION
  • If an older adult you support doesn’t have a smartphone, you can create a Lyft account for them and schedule the ride (directions are in the article link above)
  • Ride codes can be used from now through Tuesday, November 8, 2022 between from 5am – 10pm UTC

It’s important to help everyone participate in our democracy, and this partnership does that for our older adults.
