We just got word that Sandy Morales, our Senior Medicare Patrol Volunteer Coordinator and Case Manager, has received the Fraud Prevention’s Finest Award for March 2022! Congratulations Sandy! Each month this award goes to an SMP director or key staff who excel in casework, outreach, or partnership; model best practices; and whose practices encourage their SMP peers to improve upon their efforts in these areas. Sandy not only does a superb job with all her SMP casework, she also gives the gift of dedication, kindness and empathy to all her clients when working with them. We are honored to have Sandy on our SMP team and invite you to join us in our congratulations. Below is congratulatory letter to Ms. Morales from the Administration for Community Living.
You are receiving this award because of the fantastic casework you do for the California SMP! Your referrals are always completed accurately, timely, and with critical consideration for complex situations. You are always willing to ensure that referrals are taken care of correctly and referred appropriately. Your diligence helps ACL to identify areas of possible improvement in referral guidance and your willingness to share provides a helpful model for other complex interactions specialists. We also recognize your devotion and empathy for the beneficiaries that you work with every day.— Marissa Whitehouse and Nicole Liebau, Administration for Community Living
