Looking for where to get your COVID-19 vaccine or where to sign up for updates? Do you or a loved one need assistance in another language to book a vaccine appointment? If so, our partners at the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA) can help. They have created a national COVID-19 vaccine resource map with a frequently asked questions section. All you need to do is click on your state to get the relevant links/info for your state. Also, NAPCA can provide assistance in booking vaccine appointments in 8 different languages: English, Mandarin, Japanese, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Korean, Tagalog and Spanish.

In California, here are a few resources:

  • Sign up for COVID-19 vaccination – Vaccinations are in high demand. But you can find out when it’s your turn to get one. Sign up at myturn.ca.gov or call (833) 422-4255 and schedule your appointment, or get notified when appointments are available in your area.
  • Questions about vaccines in California – When, how and what to expect with vaccinations. Visit covid19.ca.gov/vaccines/.
  • California County specific info on testing and vaccination.

As a reminder, COVID-19 vaccines are available at no cost to those with Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and private insurance. If you don’t have insurance, it should still be provided at no cost. Just make sure to call the vaccine site you are using ahead of time to verify you will not be charged to prevent any surprise bills.

Also, watch out for COVID vaccine scams with scammers trying to “sell” you a vaccine, get you on a waiting list or offer a vaccine appointment for a fee. These are all scams. Read our article and fraud alert for more info, and report any suspected fraud to our California Senior Medicare Patrol at 855-613-7080.
