Slam the Scam, national slam the scam day on March 7, 2024

Are you passionate about stopping fraud? If so, join us, our partners at the Social Security Administration and beneficiaries around the country in the National Slam the Scam Day on March 7, 2024! While this is a specific day to highlight ways to prevent and report Social Security-related fraud, slamming those scams can happen everyday with your help.

You can help protect your loved ones by:

  • Educating them about government imposter scams. Let them know they shouldn’t be embarrassed to report if they shared personal information or suffered a financial loss.
  • Reporting Social Security-related scams as quickly as possible to the Social Security Office of the Inspector General (OIG).

Below is a Social Security Scam Alert with some red flags to watch for and tips to protect yourself and your loved ones. If you come across any suspected Medicare fraud or scams, report it to our California Senior Medicare Patrol at 1-855-613-7080.
