#GivingTuesday, 11/28 ~ A Day to Do Good & Give

Giving feels good. We can see infinite examples all around us – the sun gives its rays and warmth to nourish us, grow food, and grow our forests. The clouds give water to bring life to all creatures. The birds give their songs to lighten our hearts and bring music and joy to the world. And as humans, we give smiles, gifts, hugs, kindness, listening, friendship, support, humor – there are so many ways we give that feel good both to the giver and receiver. Giving fills us with a sense of fulfillment, satisfaction and happiness; it is a way of doing good and making a difference.

This notion of making a difference is the heart of the #GivingTuesday movement, a day each year dedicated solely to giving back. We at California Health Advocates are again participating in this year’s #GivingTues on November 28, 2017 and invite you to join us in this global movement of giving!

#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It’s a way to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate and to give back in impactful ways to the organizations and causes they support.

Last year, millions of people in over 98 countries participated in #GivingTuesday. We invite you to join the movement and give to California Health Advocates this November 28. Your gift supports our work in advocating for and protecting our state’s SHIP program, the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP)the one program that provides free, unbiased and individual counseling and advocacy to beneficiaries and their families on complex Medicare issues. It also supports our work ensuring California elders and younger people on Medicare with a disability are informed and empowered in understanding, navigating and accessing their health care benefits and rights.

Make your tax-deductible donation today! Your gift is one that will keep on giving to the over 5.6 million Medicare beneficiaries and their families in our state.

Thank you for making a difference! Your gift matters!
