Re: Call for Board Nominations

Date: January 30, 2018

California Health Advocates (CHA) is seeking nominations for our Board of Directors. You may find serving on our Board of Directors a very rewarding experience. Interested? Read on…

California Health Advocates is an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1997. Our mission is to provide quality Medicare and related health care coverage information, education and policy advocacy. To read more about CHA, please visit our website: https://cahealthadvocates.org/about/mission.html

A willingness to serve and time to serve are essential. Knowledge about Medicare, fundraising or marketing are helpful but not required. CHA reimburses travel expenses to attend in-person Board meetings (twice a year). The other two meetings are via conference call. Board members are expected to be active on committees and participate on calls between Board meetings. CHA Board members have the opportunity to make a positive impact for Medicare beneficiaries in California.

Board terms are three years. New Board members will begin their term July 1, 2018. Elections will be held by our members on April 16, 2018. If you are interested in obtaining more information or to submit a letter of interest and resume, please email Henry Tyson, CHA Nominating Committee at chaboard@cahealthadvocates.org.

Thank you,
California Health Advocates
