Are you new to Medicare, or will be eligible soon? Looking for information to understand how Medicare works, the parts of Medicare and your options for coverage? If so, one good way is by contacting your local Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP). HICAP is California’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and provides free, individual and unbiased information on all things Medicare. Another good way is to join the upcoming Medicare Virtual Fair on June 23, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. ET, hosted by the SHIP National Technical Assistance Center.
This is a free event for people turning 65, retiring, or joining Medicare because of a disability. At the event, you’ll learn about Medicare and all its parts to help you in your enrollment decisions. You can join online for any length of time.
There will be expert presenters on Medicare eligibility, enrollment, and coverage options. And, you can chat with exhibitors from your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) (that’s HICAP in California) for answers to your individual questions. This is a great way to get trusted, unbiased information to help you make Medicare choices that best meet your needs.
The event agenda and registration are available in English and Spanish. See SHIP National Technical Assistance Center’s webpage for more info and to register.
