Training Specialist

Tatiana Fassieux is a Training Specialist for California Health Advocates (CHA) an organization dedicated to Medicare advocacy and education for Californians. She has served various terms as Board Chair, and has been affiliated with this organization for over 18 years. She conducts many training sessions for California’s Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) volunteers and other organizations.

Ms. Fassieux also works for Passages, a designated Area Agency on Aging, serving the counties of Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Plumas and Tehama. Until October, 2014 she held the position of Program Manager for the agency’s HICAP for over 15 years, and currently serves as their Community Outreach Coordinator. Passages is a project of CSU, Chico Research Foundation. She is registered with the California Department of Aging as a HICAP counselor. Ms. Fassieux participates in various local, statewide and national conferences and committees dealing with Medicare advocacy, benefits education, and enrollment. She often is asked to provide Medicare updates to various community groups and organizations serving seniors and people with disabilities.

On September 11, 2008, Mrs. Fassieux testified before the US Senate Special Aging Committee regarding the quality and accuracy of information provided by Medicare’s customer service representatives.
