Christina Dimas-Kahn was the Program Manager for San Mateo Health Insurance and Counseling Advocacy Program (HICAP) for ten years before joining the California Health Advocates (CHA) team. She has devoted her professional life to service. Prior to joining HICAP, she worked in the healthcare industry for 19 years. She was a pharmacy technician for retail pharmacies and oversaw the Enteral, Urological and Ostomy Department for a pharmaceutical distributor, CPS/AIS, in Mountain View. Her love of Medicare developed while working for a national healthcare services company, Kindred Healthcare, as their Northern California Ancillary Service Representative doing off-site Medicare billing for their nursing homes before working for Pathways Continuous Care Private Duty as a Client Care Coordinator. This marks her third term as a commissioner for the Commission on Aging, which advises the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on issues facing older adults and promotes independence, self-sufficiency, social and community involvement. She also served as the Board President for CHA for two years.
