Having earned her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, Sandy Morales brings over 5 years of full-time community organizing experience to her position as well as over 2 years as the Bilingual Case and Outreach Specialist for CHA’s Senior Medicare Patrol Program. Previously working with Berkeley Organizing Congregations for Action (BOCA), Sandy trained community members to become leaders of their own communities, empowering them to address issues in education, healthcare access, housing and homelessness, immigration, and Lifelines to Healing. She is also an affiliate with People Improving Communities through Organizing (PICO).

In the past, Sandy has facilitated meetings with city officials, the Berkeley Mayor, representatives in Washington D.C. and has also represented PICO in D.C. speaking in front of groups as large as 5,000-6,000 people.

Born and raised in Riverside County, her mission has always been to return to and serve her community upon completing college. She aims to use what she learned in both work and school to empower people to make positive changes around the issues affecting them. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys camping with her partner and baking cakes with her nieces and nephews.
